Seeking To Follow Jesus

• To always be a welcoming and inclusive fellowship involving people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures;
• To provide a variety of opportunities for fellowship, prayer, spiritual development and growth in Christian faith and love;
• To continue to encourage the church community to maturity in Christian faith and to a deeper intimacy with Jesus Christ through small groups, providing opportunities for growth for members of the church community at all stages on their Christian journey;
• To continually improve communication within our church, particularly with a view to helping newer members of our church community life feel involved;
• To meet regularly for worship, teaching, community-building and prayer;
• To continually review the effectiveness of the activities of our church;
• To be open to change in order to do God’s will and to enable us to achieve this we will be flexible and dynamic in our organisation and approach;
• To encourage our church community to develop and use their experience and skills;
• To encourage wholehearted Christian commitment and lifestyle which will reflect the love of God in Jesus.

Sharing The Good News

• To be an outward looking church devoting at least the same level of resource to outreach as to our church community;
• To actively take every opportunity to take the life-changing message of Jesus to people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures: making it accessible to everyone both by sharing a Christian perspective and by demonstrating the reality and relevance of Christian faith for the 21st century;
• To support and encourage our members to be witnesses to the gospel, in word and deed, in their own communities, through prayer and resourcing; 
• To continue to develop our relationships with other churches in Caversham;
• To continue to develop our relationships with schools in Caversham;

Serving Others

• To provide an environment where the church community can share their needs and we will seek to evenly balance resources between meeting these needs and those of the wider community;
• To make ourselves aware of the needs and issues arising in our local community and holistically respond to them, spiritually and socially, in co-operation with other churches and organisations where appropriate;
• To encourage our members to serve their own communities (neighbourhood, school, workplace, family, etc);
• To support the needs of the wider community, nationally and internationally, by personal involvement, prayer and practical action.
